Head Coach - Dylan Lappe
Dylan Lappe joined the Bethlehem Central Varsity Hockey Team in July 2015 as Head Coach, with a robust and impressive background and experience in both playing and coaching hockey. Coach Lappe’s hockey background began at the early age of 7, continuing throughout his youth and into high school as a High School Varsity Hockey Player in Somers, NY. Coach Lappe has continued to play as an adult in various adult leagues on the East Coast.
Coach Lappe is a college graduate, receiving a Physical Education undergraduate degree in 2015 from Sage College, Albany NY. Currently, Coach Lappe is completing his graduate degree in Health Education from Estevez School of Education.
Coach Lappe has spent many recent years pursuing his passion of physical education and coaching hockey through his volunteer coaching of youth players throughout his college experience and while serving as the Assistant Varsity Hockey Coach for the Niskayuna/Schenectady Mohawks during the 2014-2015 season.
Coach Lappe brings passion and a competitive hockey spirit to the Bethlehem Eagles and has hit the ground running since being appointed by the Bethlehem Board of Education. Coach Lappe is already working hard with his current and prospective team members, developing skills, focusing on physical conditioning and strength training. Coach Lappe’s values as a Coach are embodied by his emphasis on hard work, respect, discipline and skill building and development. In addition, Coach Lappe brings with him an emphasis on setting the bar high for each player and his coaching style embodies a quote by one of the country’s most inspiring coaches, John Wooden, “It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.”
